DAAS IT strategy is to tie existing and future systems together using web services built as a SOA. The new developments are primarily conducted in .NET, and applications are built according to SOA, which both use web services in the applications business layer, and when communicating with other systems.

The strategy allows for the development of new business concepts, since the different systems in traditional business areas now can communicate in an easy and standardized way. But it also introduces new requirements for error handling and logging, as the reason for a given error, now not only be due to the individual application, but equally may be due to an error in the interaction with other systems. DAAS has therefore decided to use UptoLog since the logging system can handle the logging scenario and visualize links between systems in an error situation.
