Activities in UptoLog
UptoLog links logs together according to what activity the specific log belongs to. If two or
more logs are within the same activity, they are linked together by UptoLog. This makes it
possible to link
errors,
traces and
time measurement
across logical and physical layers.
Three examples:
- If an activity is started from a client and this
activity results in an error on a server, UptoLog logs all information about the error that
is available on the server. Subsequently the error on the server will most likely result in
an error on the client, which is also logged by UptoLog. UptoLog links the error logs in view
of the activity, which increases clarity during trouble shooting.
- If traces are generated across several physical layers
UptoLog is able to group the trace elements into an overall trace.
- If time measurement is generated across several
physical layers UptoLog is able to combine the items of time measurement
into overall time measurement.
